316L STAINLESS STEEL
Our stainless steel jewellery is made from 316L stainless steel, a high-quality grade known for its strength and resistance to corrosion.
Unlike more delicate base metals, 316L stainless steel is designed to hold up well to regular wear and humid conditions, making it especially suited to everyday jewellery.
It is also hypoallergenic and generally well suited to sensitive skin.
For our gold pieces, the stainless steel is finished with 18K gold PVD plating, while our silver-tone pieces use a rhodium-toned PVD finish.

WHAT IS PVD PLATING?
PVD, or Physical Vapour Deposition, is a plating process that bonds the colour coating to the surface of the metal.
Compared with traditional plating, PVD creates a harder, more durable finish and provides better resistance to fading, scratches and everyday wear.
Our gold stainless-steel pieces are finished in 18K gold PVD to give them their warm gold tone while maintaining the durability of the stainless-steel base underneath.
925 STERLING SILVER
Some Timeless pieces are crafted in 925 sterling silver, meaning they contain 92.5% pure silver combined with other metals for added strength and durability.
Pure silver on its own is very soft, which is why sterling silver is traditionally used for jewellery that needs to withstand regular wear.
Sterling silver may naturally oxidise or darken over time. This is normal and can usually be restored with gentle polishing and proper care.

18K GOLD VERMEIL
Gold vermeil is a layer of gold applied over a 925 sterling-silver base, rather than over brass or stainless steel. Our vermeil pieces use 18K gold to create a rich gold finish while retaining sterling silver underneath. As with all gold-plated jewellery, the finish can gradually soften with time depending on frequency of wear, exposure to products and individual skin chemistry.
OTHER MATERIALS
Certain Timeless designs may use alternative base materials such as brass when required for the shape, construction or detailing of a particular piece.
Because materials can vary between designs, the exact composition of every piece is always listed on its individual product page.
CAN I WEAR MY TIMELESS JEWELLERY EVERY DAY?
Our 316L stainless-steel pieces are designed for regular everyday wear and are waterproof and tarnish-resistant.
That said, jewellery will always last longer when treated with some care. Repeated exposure to perfume, harsh chemicals, chlorine, cleaning products and abrasive surfaces can gradually affect any finish over time.
Sterling silver, vermeil and other plated materials require a little more care than our stainless-steel pieces, so always check the material listed on the individual product page.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELLERY
To keep your Timeless pieces looking their best:
• Apply perfume, lotions and skincare before putting your jewellery on.
• Avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals and cleaning products.
• After wear, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth.
• Store pieces separately in a dry place to minimise scratching.
• Avoid rubbing plated jewellery against rough or abrasive surfaces.
• For sterling silver, use an appropriate silver-polishing cloth when needed.
A little care goes a long way.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT OVER TIME?
Jewellery is made to be worn, and how a piece ages depends on how often it is worn, how it is stored and what it comes into contact with.
Our 316L stainless-steel and PVD-finished pieces are chosen specifically for their durability and resistance to tarnishing. Normal signs of wear over time are different from a manufacturing defect. While PVD finishes are chosen for their durability and typically can last a good few years, all plated jewellery can show signs of wear over time depending on how it is worn and cared for.
