Our Demi-Fine Jewellery

18k Gold Vermeil Jewellery
Gold vermeil is different from regular gold plating and involves a thicker layer of gold of at least 1 micron or more 18k gold to give the pieces more durability and to prevent tarnishing.

925 Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is an alloy made from 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent alloy. An alloy is essentially the mixture of two or more elements, which include zinc, copper, or nickel. All our pieces sterling silver pieces are 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.
The reason sterling silver requires the mixture of other metals is because naturally, pure silver is soft. Adding other metals to the silver increases the hardness, making it more suitable and durable for use in jewelry.

STAINLESS STEEL JEWELLERY PLATED IN 18K GOLD
Stainless steel is made from the standards 10 percent chromium, titanium, niobium, molybdenum, and other metals depending on the grade of stainless steel. Chromium's ability to form a thin invisible layer of chrome-oxide when mixed with oxygen is what gives it the protective layer to make stainless steel "stainless". This makes is exceptionally resistant to corrosion making it very durable. It is further plated in 18K Gold giving it that luxe look and gold tone.
In addition to this, stainless steel is a better option for those with allergies to metal (such as copper), and overall sensitivity. It is also ideal for those living in humid conditions, such as the Mumbai weather in India.
